The Preceptor Success Specialist is a role focused on nurturing and maintaining relationships with preceptors to ensure their engagement and satisfaction.

This is a retention role.

This role requires a hands-on approach to relationship management, aiming to reduce preceptor churn by understanding their needs, resolving issues, and reinforcing their connection with our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with preceptors through regular, meaningful communication.
  • Monitor preceptor engagement and satisfaction, addressing concerns and gathering feedback to improve their experience.
  • Coordinate and manage nurturing initiatives, such as sending personalized gifts for special occasions (birthdays, work anniversaries, etc.).
  • Increase preceptor retention by identifying and addressing factors leading to churn.
  • Manage preceptor profiles, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurately reflect engagement levels.
  • Facilitate a smooth onboarding process for new preceptors and celebrate milestones.
  • Encourage preceptors to refer colleagues, expanding our network.
  • Collaborate with other teams to resolve payment issues and negotiate terms when necessary.
  • Track and report on metrics related to preceptor engagement, retention, and churn.
  • Actively seek opportunities for process improvements to enhance preceptor satisfaction.

Metrics for Success

  • Reduction in preceptor churn rate
  • Reduction in Nurturing Related Lost Deals
  • Increase in preceptor lifetime value (LTV):
    • Preceptors who leave reviews on students, etc.
    • Preceptors that refer others
    • Preceptors that engage in phone calls
  • More feedback from preceptors on the NPHub process, such as PPW, Mobile app, etc.
  • More student reviews from preceptors
  • Decrease in the number of first-request failures
  • Successful re-engagement of former preceptors
  • Additional Preceptor Referrals

  • Number of Nurturing Updates/Changes Per Month: Regular tracking and reporting on the quantity and quality of nurturing activities.
  • Match Rate Improvement: Reduction in the number of nurturing-related deals lost.
  • Preceptor Churn Rate: Aim to decrease the rate at which preceptors leave the network.
  • Preceptor Lifetime Value (LTV): Increase the average revenue generated from each preceptor over their engagement period.
  • Former Preceptor Re-engagement: Successfully re-engage preceptors who have previously disengaged.
  • Average Number of Student Deals per Preceptor: Increase the average number of successful student placements per preceptor.
